Barnardo's

The PSA Service will work with local schools and other agencies to ensure that children can overcome social, emotional and behavioural problems which threaten their education and future prospects.

The new service has offices at Poundbury Business Centre in Dorchester and at Arena Business Centre in Ferndown.
The Service is managed by Jeremy Coombe, Children’s Services Manager with Barnardo’s, and employs 14 Project Workers who will be based within schools or local hub offices according to local need.

Project workers will offer short and medium-term support. This could be low-level advice and information or a formal assessment and referral to other agencies. Parent mentors will also be recruited.
